Key Safety Reminders<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. Don\u2019t use <\/strong>carbon-based fuel appliances in enclosed spaces or sleeping areas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Do not<\/strong> use cooking equipment for heating (e.g. to warm tents or shelters).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Always<\/strong> make sure there is good ventilation when cooking or heating. If you feel unwell (e.g. headache, sleepiness or dizziness), get outside immediately.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Only<\/strong> use safe, well-maintained equipment \u2013 inspect hoses, regulators and seals before each use. If damaged or unsure, don’t use.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Make sure<\/strong> an in-date, tested and working CO alarm (to BS EN 50291-2, suitable for non-fixed environments such as tents and caravans) is in place wherever a carbon-based fuel appliance is used, including gas appliances.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. If unsure \u2013 STOP!<\/strong> Evacuate if necessary and seek advice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Always lead by example by exhibiting safe behaviours to our young people and volunteers.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
